The Progressive Climate Foundation (PCF) and the District Youth Office of Charsadda joined hands for a collaborative initiative titled “Changing Minds for Climate Resilience.” The program aimed to raise awareness about climate change and promote green sustainability practices within the community.
During the event, Mr. Mian Shahid Hamid, the Project Director, delivered an enlightening session to students and attendees, emphasizing the importance of understanding climate change, its causes, impacts, and our collective role in environmental conservation.
The President and Founder of PCF stressed that climate change is the most pressing issue of our time, and urgent action is needed to address it. He provided an overview of the climate change implications specific to the Charsadda region and highlighted the importance of engaging youth in minimizing the climate crisis.
Addressing the audience, the Shahzad Ud Din, Principal of New Muslim Public High School encouraged students and youth to take tangible actions towards safeguarding their future by adopting sustainable practices.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Faheem Khan Durrani, the District Youth Officer of Charsadda, emphasized the need for awareness and collective action for the betterment of society.
