PCF Climate Action Fellowship

Empowering Pakistan’s Next Generation of Changemakers

The PCF Climate Action Fellowship is a flagship initiative of the Progressive Climate Foundation (PCF). It is specifically designed to empower and mobilize the youth of Pakistan for climate leadership. PCF Climate Fellowship program is a two-month online training program that equips youth with comprehensive learning, community and research projects, and mentorship for meaningful environmental impact.

Through PCF’s interactive sessions, fellows learn from experts, explore real-world climate challenges, and come up with strategies for climate action.

Till now, 550 fellows have graduated successfully, and over 85,000 individuals have benefited from PCF’s youth-led climate initiatives across Pakistan.

I successfully completed my two-month fellowship in climate change. I wrote a white paper on Quetta city and secured the 7th position in research. The sessions were wonderful and provided a lot of information on various aspects of climate change. Both theoretical and practical dimensions were covered in this fellowship. The adverse impacts of climate change on water and agriculture were extensively discussed, along with the issue of waste management. The resource persons were highly competent. I learned a lot from this fellowship and am highly interested in continuing work on climate change issues. It was a wonderful program that provided valuable knowledge.

Program Structure

The PCF Climate Action Fellowship spans two months and is delivered fully online. Fellowship is designed to be manageable alongside studies or work commitments.

Structured Learning: Learn through virtual sessions, self-paced materials, and expert mentorship.
Hands-on Projects: Apply your skills in weekly sessions and a final capstone through white paper research or community climate initiatives.
Peer Learning: Connect with like-minded fellows to build confidence and take action on community and sustainability projects.
Complete Climate Leadership: Gain knowledge in climate advocacy and community action to lead real-world environmental projects.

Fellowship Learning Outcomes

The PCF Climate Action Fellowship equips you with the knowledge, skills, and experience to lead meaningful climate action in your community. By the end of the program, Fellows will be able to:

Where and When?

The PCF Climate Action Fellowship is offered fully online, making it accessible to young changemakers from anywhere in Pakistan.
Sessions are held via Zoom or Google Meet. This format ensures you can fully engage with interactive workshops, mentorship, and community projects from the comfort of your home.
The fellowship is run in two-month cycles, with multiple cohorts throughout the year. This way, it allows flexibility for students, professionals, and youth leaders to participate.

Fellowship Graduation Ceremony – PCF Climate Youth Summit

Upon completion, PCF Climate Action Fellowship Fellows are invited to the Grand Graduation Ceremony. The event shares outcomes, celebrates achievements, and strengthens the national climate leadership community.

PCF Climate Youth Summit features recognition awards, keynote speeches, and networking opportunities with policymakers, experts, and industry leaders. Graduates receive a Certificate of Completion that marks their contribution to growing climate movement of Pakistan/
